Saddle Warranty & Policies

Custom Saddle Policy

All Kentaur saddles are made to order based on rider and horse specifications.

​

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to begin production

  • Once an order is confirmed and submitted to the factory, it cannot be cancelled or changed

  • Production timelines are approximately 10–12 weeks, depending on factory scheduling

 

Because each saddle is built specifically for you, we strongly recommend working with a qualified fitter prior to ordering.

Returns & Restocking

Due to the custom nature of Kentaur saddles:

​

  • Custom saddles are final sale

  • In exceptional cases where a return is approved, a minimum 30% restocking fee will apply

  • The saddle must be returned in like-new condition

 

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Shipping Policy 

  • Saddles are shipped directly from the factory to your fitter, or

  • For virtual/remote orders, shipped to our USA or Canada distribution location before final delivery

 

Additional details:

  • Production time: 10–12 weeks

  • Customs, duties, and import fees are included in your invoice — no additional charges upon delivery

  • Once the saddle arrives, please allow 7–14 days for your fitter to coordinate final fitting and delivery

Fitting & Responsibility

Kentaur Saddlery USA & Canada works exclusively with qualified saddle fitters.

​

  • Fitters are trained professionals focused on horse welfare, rider balance, and correct saddle fit

  • Saddles are recommended based on the evaluation of both horse and rider

  • If a Kentaur saddle is not the correct solution, our fitters will advise accordingly

We stand behind a fit-first approach, not a sales-first approach.

Payment Terms

  • A deposit is required to place all saddle orders

  • Final payment is due prior to shipment

  • Credit card payments are subject to a 2.9% processing fee

  • Canadian customers may pay via e-transfer

  • Financing options may be available (Canada & USA)

Care & Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life of your saddle and maintain warranty eligibility:

​

  • Clean and condition leather regularly with appropriate products

  • Store in a dry, temperature-controlled environment

  • Use a saddle cover when not in use

​

Failure to maintain the saddle may void warranty coverage.

Warranty

All Kentaur saddles are handcrafted in the Czech Republic using high-quality materials and traditional craftsmanship. Each saddle is covered by the following manufacturer warranty:
 

  • 5-Year Warranty on Saddle Tree
    Covers structural integrity and defects under normal use.

  • 2-Year Warranty on Materials & Workmanship
    Covers manufacturing defects in leather and construction.

 
This warranty applies to normal riding conditions and does not cover:

  • Damage from improper use, accidents, or neglect

  • Normal wear and tear (scratches, fading, softening of leather)

  • Improper storage or lack of maintenance

  • Unauthorized alterations or repairs

 
If you believe there is a warranty issue, please contact your fitter or our team directly. All claims are reviewed in coordination with the manufacturer.
